Physical Therapy Schools In New Jersey

Physical therapists often consult and practice with a variety of other professionals, such as physicians, dentists, nurses, educators, social workers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and audiologists. To practice physical therapy in New Jersey the student must be licensed by the state. State of New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, the general requirements include earning a minimum of a master’s degree through an accredited PT institutions.

New Jersey has three(3) schools which offer PT education namely Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, The Richard Stockton College and University of Medicine & Dentistry. These schools are offering Masters (MPT) and Doctorate (DPT). The three schools are public type of university.

Information about New Jersey:

New Jersey’s early colonial history was involved with that of New York of which it was a part. One year after the Dutch surrender to England in 1664, New Jersey was organized as an English colony under Gov. Philip Carteret. The name is originated from the Channel Isle of Jersey and the state is also called Garden State.
