Physical Therapy Schools in North Carolina

In 1795, North Carolina opened the first public university in the United States – the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. UNC-Chapel Hill was one of the first institutions to offer post-professional training to physical therapists. The main goal of the colleges and universities in North Carolina is to developed a greater focus on research, from MS program in PT. The list of colleges in North Carolina is quite distinguished, especially in the area of historically black colleges such as Winston-Salem State University and North Carolina Central University.

North Carolina has six(6) universities which offers PT. Half of these schools which is offer Doctorate (DPT) and the other half offers Masters (MPT). These several schools has four(4) public and two(2) private university type.

Information about North Carolina:

Raleigh is the capital city of North Carolina, and their motto is Esse quam videri (To be rather than to seem). The other name of the state is Tar Heel State and it’s origin is in honor of Charles I of England. The flag of North Carolina shall consist of a blue union, containing in the center thereof a white star with the letter N in gilt on the left and the letter C in gilt on the right of said star, the circle containing the same to be one-third the width of the union.
